Volunteer Opportunities 

Glendale Elementary School District Food Distributions
Tuesdays and Wednesdays
GESD System of Care, 7677 W. Bethany Home Rd
Tuesdays (8am-10:30am), Wednesdays (7am-9am)

Every month, Glendale Elementary School District hold food distributions where they hand out 350+ food boxes to the community. The need for food boxes has increased steadily along with the need for volunteer support to get food to families effectively. There are two opportunities to help with each distribution; one day would be the packing of the food boxes and the following day would be handling the boxes out to the community. Below are the dates for the food distributions. 10-15 volunteers are needed for each volunteer opportunity. To register, please complete the form.

Dementia Friendly Glendale Awareness Day

2:30pm-6:30pm

For the 3rd Annual Dementia Friendly Glendale Awareness Day, we are seeking volunteers to assist with set up/clean up, carnival game attendants, registration assistance, and general event assistance. This is an indoor/outdoor event, so please dress accordingly. To register to volunteer, please complete the form.


Granada Estates Halloween Event

On Sunday, October 27, we are seeking volunteers to help with providing a safe Halloween event. This event will be sponsored by the Granada Estates Coalition.  Volunteers are needed for setup (4-5:30pm), activity during the event (5:30-7:30pm), tear down (7:30-8:30pm). Sahuaro Ranch Rose Garden Fall Cleanup
Saturday, Nov 2 and Sunday, Nov 3

The Rose Society of Glendale will be hosting a fall rose garden clean-up at Sahuaro Ranch Park Rose Garden. We will be starting at 8am on both Saturday, November 2nd and Sunday, November 3rd. You can register for one or both days. Volunteer tasks include deadheading, spreading mulch and other garden tasks. Pruners. gloves and other tools needed, as well as water, will be provided. Please wear closed toe shoes, clothes that can get dirty and a hat. Register directly with the Rose Society of Glendale at

Glendale Rocks Neighborhood Beautification Project

Community Engagement is currently recruiting volunteers to help with a neighborhood beautification project with our partner, Rebuilding Together. Volunteer tasks may include painting of address numbers on curbs, moving rock into bare yards, weeding and general landscaping. The project will be in the area of 47th Avenue and Bethany Home Road with volunteers meeting in Rose Lane Park. Please wear clothing that can get dirty, closed toe shoes, sunscreen and a hat.
