The United States Census 2020: We're All in This Together!

Now more than ever, it’s important to ensure that every member of our community is counted in the 2020 Census. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the census deadline has been extended until October 31.

Every person counted represents over $3,000 annually in state and federal funding for important programs that serve Glendale residents like healthcare, education, public safety, senior services, transportation and housing. When members of our community go uncounted, that funding could go to other cities and states.

Census data is completely confidential and by law cannot be shared with any other government agencies, including law enforcement, the Internal Revenue Service, or the courts. There are no questions about citizenship or immigration status.

More than half the households across our country have already responded. If you haven’t already completed your questionnaire, take 10 minutes to complete it now. You can fill out your census online at, by phone or by mail.

Census numbers will guide how funding is distributed to help communities recover from these difficult times. Make sure our community gets the resources we need to support residents!
